This is a story about a culture in todays world. A culture which is rapidly taking a foothold in pretty much everything in the world today. I am of course speaking about the Geek Culture. The word Geek, for the past few decades, was used as a derogatory term for those whom showed an interest in things out of the norm. Example, in the early to late 80s, you had the introduction of Home Computer Systems, and those whom showed interests in that, were called Geeks, or Nerds, pretty much anyone with above average intelligence and had a fancy for technology. Most of the time, they are portrayed as having thick, coke-bottle glasses, pocket protectors, and had interests in Science and Math. This, of course, is a normal prejudicial view on this genre of people, and as we enter into the twenty-first century, and begin relying more upon the Internet for most things, the Age of the Geek has arrived. We have stood the test of time, and now it is our time to rule! Of course, within every culture, there are sub-cultures. Within Geekdom, you have your Computer Geeks, those whom can build computers with their eyes closed, and can hack into banks and the like. You have your video game geeks, those of us whom are completely obsessed with Video Games, and are for the most part addicted to them like crack. You also have your Anime Geeks, those of us whom enjoy watching, collecting, and taking part in anything that comes from Japan, otherwise known as the Otaku. This is a collection of stories about a group of friends, each of whom have their own likes and dislikes, but are all apart of this culture...The Age of the Geek has arrived! -

Character Descriptions -
Andrea is the youngest of the group, and one of the more crazy, but extremely fun, parts of the group. She loves her Anime, and pretty much anything to do with Asian Culture, not just Japan. She is a fanatic about her music, most notable bands being DBSK, a Korean Pop Band, and Dir En Grey, a japanese rock band. She speaks her mind, no matter what, and even though she seems, to most people, like she is hard to get along with, once you get to know her, you will become addicted. She is currently employed at a fast food restaurant, and is a vegetarian.

Kaz, up to this point, is a mystery, but seems to be an awesome person. One of Andrea's best friends.

Krystal is the oldest of the group, and the more controlling person in the group. She has a tendency to tell people what to do, and they do it reguardless if they want to or not. She, like most of the people in this group, loves her anime, and loves almost anything to do with Vampires and/or Lycans [werewolves]. She is a sweet girl, but if you get her mad, there will be hell to pay. She, like Renny, also enjoys J-rock bands, most notably being Gackt, and Dir En Grey. She is also rather addicting once you have hung out with her.

Rachel is the second oldest of the group, and one of the more smaller people of the group. She is petite, and skinny, but do not let her size fool you. If given the opportunity, Rachel would be able to eat a whole large pizza by herself. As like the others, she loves her anime, her j-rock. She also likes any kind of band that uses a Synthesizer. She laid back attitude, likes to sit back and relax, laugh and of course Drink.

Ron is the second youngest of the group, and one of the jackasses of the group. He loves his video games, mostly to do with Sony, and his anime. He is sort of a neat-freak, and is heavily protective of his video games. He is known as a whiner, but all in all he is a cool guy. He works at a super-market, acting as thier Go-To guy, meaning he can do pretty much every job in the store. He is anal retentive about his job, hates when things arent done the way he wants them to be done. He enjoys mostly Rock music, Avenged Sevenfold, Korn, and the like.

Shayne is for the most part seen as the Leader of the group, or so he thinks anyways. He is currently involved with Krystal, although thier relationship tends to have a roller-coaster effect, going from peachy to Hellish in the blink of an eye. He loves Rock Music, and video games, mostly associated with Nintendo, and is currently employed at a Denny's Restaurant, where he works as a Bus Boy. He has a sort of laid back attitude, mixed with overall ignorance on some things, be it intentional ignorance or not, and tends to forget things quite often if they do not include him.

Joe is the third oldest of the group, and also loves Music. His taste in music isnt limited to any genre, although he does listen to more Rock then anything. He loves video games, mostly revolving around Microsoft. He is the person whom a good portion of his friends believe is easy to talk to, and tend to tell him things which they sometimes wouldnt tell other people. He is a laid-back guy, likes to listen more then he likes to talk, unless something really is bothering him, or if he is really excited about something.
